Defeat the devil is about two opposing spiritual kingdoms at war with one another. One is the infinitely greater kingdom of God - a kingdom of righteousness, peace and joy. The other is the malicious kingdom of satan - a kingdom that comes to rob, kill and destroy. This is the setting of the battle we face.
Satan desires nothing more than to win the hearts and minds of the entire human race - and he won´t quit in his schemes to gain control over us. He attempts to seduce Christians from rising to their full potential and to distract them from closely following the Lord. His goal is to destroy our lives.
When we submit to God and His ways, we never have to be afraid of the devil. He has already been defeated by Jesus, and it is our privilege and right as children of God to live in the victory Christ won for us.
DEREK PRINCE (1915-2003), author of over 50 books, was educated as a scholar at Eton College and Cambridge University, England, as well as King´s College. He also studied several modern languages, at Cambridge University and the Hebrew University in Jerusalem.
While serving with the British in World War II, he began to read the Bible merely as a work of philosophy he felt he should study. In the process, Derek experienced a life-changing encounter with Jesus Christ.
